PC version: is Bluesoleil supported?

Hi,

I posted on here some months back about getting a Win CE 6.0 Chinese GPS running with Hobdrive, but gave up as the OS was so severely stripped and refused to work with a USB or BT OBDII adapter.

Now it's been hacked with a HDMI screen, carPC and Centrafuse car front end software (running Bluesoleil stack for GPS) Fired up the Windows version of Hobdrive ... it doesn't detect any BT drivers.

Should Bluesoleil work with hobd?

Hi Byrd,

Probably not directly.

But you always can manually assign ELM device with a COM port number, and use that port in hobdrive to connect.

That should be supported with any BT stack.

Hi,

I'm still having no luck with Bluesoleil and HobDrive. I'm successful with a USB OBD2 adapter, but can't get BlueSoleil 10 + reasonable quality BT USB adapter (+ OBD2 dongle) to connect.

Using EasyOBD2 as a test, I can confirm COM6 and baud 38400 works using the above setup. Hobdrive detects this as COM6:38400 in hobdrive's OBD2 setup. I've tried every combination of baud rate, etc. but to no avail - it simply doesn't register with Hobdrive.

Its abit ambiguous - are you able to connect via mapped com port? with BT COM ports you normally don't have to choose any specific speed.
