Drops connection (CAN ERROR) on 2014-year vehicle

Hello, been sucessfully using your program for several years in my 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Recently traded that for a 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid and have problems staying connected. Same OBD2 adapter and phone. The car has Sync, which is bluetooth but I dont think that is the problem. I did order a wi-fi adapter to try.

I reset the program and allowed it to auto-connect, still drops out, reconnects, drops out, reconnects etc.

Any ideas?

Stephen, try to disable BT sync with car temporarily and see if it helps.

Also try to repair your adapter and phone once again.

In case that does not help, enable TRACE logging level, reproduce, and attach here "log.txt" file. We'll see.

It does not matter if I have Sync on or off, the results are the same, I did re-pair the OBD2 adapter and my phone.

Ok, hobdrive sees "Critical error:CAN ERROR" message from ELM and reconnects.

CAN Error often means bad ELM device, badly or slowly working with CAN bus.
We plan to provide an option to ignore this error (but that will not help 100%).

The best option is to replace ELM adapter.

OK got my high dollar OBD2 adapter and still keep getting CAN errors. The error message no longer states critical CAN error, and the program keeps reconnecting sucessfully.

When are you going to come out with the CAN error ignore feature?

Really can't find any other program that gives results like yours does.
