From this version, all future updates you can do on your own: "Screens" - "Settings" - "Network" - "Use beta channel" - "Check for updates".

For license beta updates, you should enter your account page:

There you can download beta packages and copy files from ZIP into your current install folder.

Verify that your original useragent.dll file is in there (that is your license) Please do backup before use. Unofficial beta releases could contain some bugs or cause problems - use these with care.

Android owners could use account page to reset serial ID activations (in case theirs phone IDs were changed for some reason)

Thanks for a great new beta release.

I am new to the hobdrive software, but am enjoying getting use to the features and functions.

One piece of feedback w/ the new version (not sure what version I had before), but it seems like the conversion for temperature (both coolant and air intake) for F is off. It looks correct when the units are C, but when I switch to F, it looks really off doing the conversion.

thanks for beta 1.1.4. For feedback.....when I open a screen then try to close it with the x on top right it will not close. I can get back to normal screen by scrolling the page. Also I think the uk mpg conversion is out. I'm seeing the figure rise to over 30mpg which I think is impossible for a 240 bhp rx8. especially the way I drive . running winCE 6 on chinese 7" satnav. still awesome software keep up the great work.

UK mpg calculates using UK gallons.
could you please post here sample data: distance, fuel consumed, and fuel MPG. You may also long-click on sensor to see its value in different units (and to validate it calculates correctly).

Other cause of high MPG could be a consumption calibration. What fuel calculation method do you use?

hi sorry for the delay . this work stuff gets in the way . last run was 5.9 miles, fuel consumed was 0.196 gals, fuel economy shows 30.1 gall. holding sensor gives last value 9.37L/100 km and says 25.1 mpg. by my maths one is imperial gall the other is US gall. mpg method is maf sensor, I have the tank size as 60Liters in the vehicle settings, should this also be in gallons?

So thats correct.

25 us mpg is 30 uk mpg, since 1uk gallon = 1.21us gallon.
Correct me if I'm wrong, since I'm neither in us, nor in uk

Tank size is always in liters, so thats fine.

Try to run out full tank with hobdrive and see if hobdrive's total fuel consumed is equal to the real fuel consumed from tank (take real fuel consumed from next full tank fill). This way you'll see if hobdrive calculates correctly.

yes the maths works out one imperial one us gallons. Well, i'm mystified now. I've watched the average mpg figure rise and rise to 40+ mpg while driving. If I change back to the non-beta build then i get 19 mpg or so which is what I would expect from this car. I'll have a good look at the set up to see if i've managed to get the wrong tag input to the display somehow. The last tank fill worked out at 18 mpg after a few "faster" runs. Something is not right but I can't quite see it.

nonbeta supports only us mpg. try switching to us units in beta and see the numbers.

Compare the vehicle settings, probably some difference makes this.

i had the settings on l/100km and converted to imperial gallons 14.8 l/100km = @ 19 mpg or @ 16 us mpg
I'll do some more comparisons and check where the data is being picked up from. It's odd as occasionally the reading will change to a long decimal string half way across the screen then change back after a minute or so. It also seems to accumulate, the longer the drive the higher the mpg figure gets. It starts up at 0 then jumps to @20+ then slowly moves up to 30+. good thing is my wife sees the higher mpg and thinks the car isn't so thirsty after all sorry to keep posting but I'm only trying to help troubleshoot as I think you've done a fantastic job on this software and it deserves to get better and more well known.
